It's a cultural thing
We're looking for extroverted, engaging and hard-working volunteers.
Project Brigid's Cultural Center
Project Brigid is located in a hamlet the northwest mountains of Spain with a population of 39. Due to the tourism of the St. James Way, we see over 200,000 travelers pass our doors every year. This offers an ideal opportunity to unite travelers with our neighbors using workshops and Brigid MIXs.
The environment is constantly changing; people from around the world & neighbors alike, come to: participate in events, spend the night (sometimes staying several days at a time), or volunteer.
This project is committed to our community, and the volunteers are the backbone.
We are actively seeking extroverted guides who can speak English & Spanish. We are also looking for an experienced in construction & gardening volunteer (English/Spanish introvert/extrovert does not matter).
Volunteers work between 6 and 8 hours a day, with one day off every 10 days. There is one rule, put your love into everything you do. We have to be the most patient, accepting & loving participant of every exchange, whether it's with a neighbor, pilgrim, or fellow team-member.
In exchange, volunteers get a private room, shared bathroom, high quality (mostly organic) food, and at least a friend or two for life.
We're dreaming big! We dream of a world where travelers can land in any major city, and find a Brigid MIX at the local Cultural or Social Center, Museum, University or Hotel. There, they can comfortably MIX with local people who share a common interests.
Our sister association, Brigid MIXs is in need of help, too!
Please, check out their website collaboration page if you're interested in taking on some volunteer responsibilities from home!
